After our first child, was born, I was lucky enough to have an over production of milk.  We had a giant freezer stash and living in an apartment, with just a fridge-freezer, didn’t have much room to store it.  We ended up donating a bunch of milk to the Roger Hicks Ontario Human Milk Bank, which meant that preemie bubbas stuck in hospitals were able to benefit from our milk.  They pasteurize the milk and distribute to hospitals around the country as needed; definitely a worthy cause, but I’ll tell you, a lot of hoops (rightly so) to jump through!  Even after that, we still had lots of milk leftover, and knowing how many mamas struggle with milk production (plus all my hard work in collecting it all!), we didn’t want to waste any of that liquid gold!!  Unfortunately, there just weren’t many options for us.  Once we got pregnant with our second kid, I knew I wanted to make the freeze-dried milk a little more accessible… not being totally an entrepreneur at heart, I spent a lot of time doing research into how this whole thing works!  And, here we are… we are so pleased to be able to provide you with this service!
